Lunchtime, Lobby and beyond, Emma and Niles,
Emma came down to the lobby about ten to twelve, she'd walked Lily and fussed Mr Cat, pottered about doing housework, showered and washed her hair (it was still damp in places) and then pulled on some reasonable clothes, regular fit blue jeans, and a deep coral tee-shirt with a deep scooped neckline, and some smart black shoes. Considering her options was fun, there were lots after all with her being ten minutes early, hanging out in the lobby, or she could check the mail, or maybe just get a quick drink from the Mocha... but no, she sat down in a chair and stared up at the mouldings on the ceiling, wishing she'd bought a sketch pad and some pencils down with her.
Fairly swiftly she was lost in a study of the details of the mouldings, fingers tracing shapes on her legs or the arm of the chair she was sitting in, so lost she didn't notice his arrival, of even if he spoke to her. The one moulding seemed to go into itself, and repeat, but without symmetry, very much like an M.C. Escher drawing she'd seen recently and liked...
