It probably wasn't a good thing that Nia was getting the hang of saying "Monkey Nuts" so quickly. Still, he couldn't help but smile. She was saying it into the dryers and the echo boomed through the laundry room.
"You like that, wait til I put my sneakers in the dryer," he told her, not knowing if she understood anyway. It didn't matter though. He may be 9 times her age, but he still appreciated the amusement of a good dryer drum.
"I'm Ben," he introduced himself. "I moved in last week, first floor, to go to Rutherford in the fall."
