Jimmy took a wallet from his back pocket that was almost as aged as his face and extracted a card and a stub of pencil. He wrote "one guest, second floor, Jimmy' on it and added a smiley face with little devil horns.
He offered the card to Ben. "Ground floor's a bit rough," he said, "but show that to the 'door' and they'll see you up to the second floor. Bring a friend if you like."
