Ben watched nervously as he hung up his phone and put it down. Apparently he wasn't going to just sit there and chatter to his friend. But he wasn't sure that was necessarily a good thing. Ben wasn't very accustomed to talking to older people. The only ones he was ever really exposed to were his overbearing parents, their snotty judgmental friends, and his former teachers that to this day he swore were really evil alien cyborgs or something. In short, he wasn't sure how to conduct himself besides just nodding his head and agreeing with whatever they said. This guy Jimmy seemed different, though. Looked different, at least.
"Ben," he said, deciding to hold his hand out. His father always said the handshake left the strongest first impression. He wondered if that society's rules still applied. "I'm new in the building, just moved in today. Nice to meet you."
