Manuel Temminck -- the current, living Manuel Temminck -- was, by contrast, one of the busiest men in the Manor. He was, in fact, just returning from Singapore, and was being attended by the doorman, a handyman, and three maids that were taking care of his luggage. The only thing he was carrying himself was a small, exquisite paper bag that contained the gift for his wife.
He still managed to almost fall over the feet of that lazy young guy in the squashy chair who seemed to have nothing better to do than drink coffee and look at things.
