Lunchtime onwards, The Gardens, Memorial Day Barbecue Party Post
In the bright, early morning sunshine, when most Manorites were just beginning their days, the Manor gardens were bustling with activity. Members of the maintenance crew, including one Nick Flamel, were coming and going, taking care of last minute setup.
Mingling with the crew were the McClaren brothers and Icene Callan, dragging coolers of food and drink and tearing open packages of cups, plastic silverware, paper plates and napkins, doing their best to set everything up with some sort of sense of ease and flow in mind. There was some mild-mannered bickering about where and what was exactly the best placement, but by lunchtime everything was in place and the scent of grilling food began to waft across the gardens, calling guests in.
