Deacon had been in the garage doing more work on The Car and so when he entered the Mocha he was a bit grubby. But damn he could make grubby look good. Worn and slightly torn jeans, work boots, a blue work shirt with the word Hacker where the name tag should be opened to reveal a white singlet that had a few grease stains on it.
Joy made a face when she saw him.
"You're hands better not be dirty," she said and Deacon gave her his charming, innocent smile and she flushed.
"Now would I come and dirty up your little cafe, darlin'?" he drawled and raised his hands for her to see. "Clean as a whistle. Promise."
