Charlie loved showing off his gallery and adored showing off the work of 'his' artists even more.
"Well," he said. "In here we have the - um - shop stuff. Greetings cards, mounted but unframed prints, small pieces of original art. We sell a lot of this sort of thing but," he dropped his voice, "it's just a ploy to get people in. There are people who think that buying art is an elitist sort of thing to do, but it shouldn't be. Loving beautiful things should be for everyone. Now through here," he led the way through the archway and round the corner into the next gallery, "we have cityscapes by Beatrice Krohne and some landscapes by Gary Burbage. Beatrice is very popular. Gary's quite new but I think he's really got something."
