He wasn't the only one thinkign they would not make it - tears were already streaming down on Emily's face. She could not see properly anymore, but all she needed to see was where the stairs ended to a landing and where she needed to turn.
The demon was only a handful of floors above them when they reached the first floor landing.
"I wasn't a cheerleader for nothing," Emily huffed biting her teeth together when she without a moment's hesitation climbed over the railing. She stopped only for a heartbeat to wave Spencer to follow her, and take a deep breath. Then she jumped.
