It took several hours, but eventually Icene had the nest, and the CSI Night shift were busy collecting evidence from both that and the area where Joey had been shot, walked through and fallen. They had a trajectory, and there was, for a change, some trace evidence in the nest. They just weren't sure it was his, or someone else's. It all got bagged for testing though. Icene went back over to Chad.
"Well, I'm pretty much done here for tonight, we'll have fresh eyes come look it over in daylight, in case there's something we missed, can we close off the area around the nest, just in case it gets interfered with?" She smiled, then looked round, the smile fading, "Heard anything from the hospital about the victim yet?"
