Re: Lara and OTA
Stone had been planning on watching most of the set up from the driveway between his building and the baseball diamond. He, however, had had class. Just thinking about it made him feel extremely dorky. Also, it was safe to say that the only person in the class older than him was the teacher. It was a class about classical music.
Stone didn't mind classical music, but good lord the teacher treated everyone in the class like they'd never heard a single classical piece in their life that they were able to recognize. Okay so maybe that was true for most of the class...except for Stone, some girl whose name must have been pulled off a list of virtues (Charity? Chastity? Something like that - thankfully it wasn't 'Patience', gah), and some kid claimed his name was 'Vice' (and wasn't that amusing since he was sitting a row behind Charity/Chastity in the lecture hall?).
Stone didn't think 'Vice' seemed in place in the class until it turned out that he was, as he'd noted to the class, an African-Asian-Irish-Italian born in Greece and raised in NYC. Kid acted like he belonged in some stereotypical hip-hop music video (if one could call it music) and Stone had been rolling his eyes right up until the kid had given a CD to the professor (Dr. ) that involved some crazy beat mixes fit in with various classical pieces. Stone wasn't really into that kind of thing, but considering how boring the class was shaping up to be, it was a nice surprise.
So Stone showed up at the baseball diamond after class. He backed into the driveway and grabbed the plastic bag with a couple containers of Mac N Cheese he'd stopped to get, and grabbed his backpack - oh yes, Stone had a backpack, he was a total dork now, for sure - and climbed out. He was in one of his new pairs of fancypants (heh, literally), with a shiny new belt and a black button down shirt tucked into it. His shoes needed to be broken in still. Not cool. He'd stayed away from a tie and a jacket cause he didn't want to wear one and it was too warm out so he left some of the buttons undone and his sleeves were already rolled up, sunglasses on, as he strolled onto the diamond and started looking for Lara.
