Xander sighs, looking down at his cigarette, tapping it gently and watching the ash that floats to the ground.
"Because I was happier here than I've ever been in my life," he murmurs. "and I missed owning a store." He closes his eyes, tilting his head back, against the wall, away from Zack.
"And because I missed you," he laughs bitterly. "And even just being in the same city as you, and maybe seeing you once in a blue moon, is better than living in LA alone."
