Maude took long in front of the mirror every morning. She took pride in herself, and good care. Of course, being attractive wasn't a question of age.

Maude's attention was with her lip-liner when something moved behind her shoulder, in the mirror. A pale thing of blood and snow and accusation...

She gave a little gasp and turned very quickly, but there was nothing. Of course not. Oh, drat, she'd have to talk to her doctor about her medication again.-
