Lara picked up her shoes and listened to what she could hear of Stone and J's exchange. As stupid as it sounded, it was really good to hear J's voice, no matter how far off it was.

When Stone came back to talk to her, Lara nodded again uselessly. "Yeah, I'll be right over. See ya."

Lara hung up and sat on the side of the bed to pull her shoes on. After she grabbed a hoodie and stuck her phone in its pocket, she headed out. She made sure to leave a note for whichever freeloader found it first, and then picked up her keys and headed for the sixth floor.
