"We may have problems, but you'd have to catch me to get back at me!" she informed her friend with a laugh. And Dee was fast. Maybe not track star, but her years of running to stay in shape for dance kept her going at a pretty fast pace. "If they showed up at my door, I'd sick Abby and Gonza on them." her Black Labs weren't vicious at all, but they did like to play, and could probably chase people for hours if they wanted to. Mostly they'd probably just lick them to death, but that was besides the point. It would Adenah time to leave, because who wanted to deal with television characters come to life? "True, I'd probably hear from the neighbors first, or the radio." her neighbors were vicious gossipers, the woman to their left lived for rumors. She'd probably have no trouble calling them all the early hours of the morning for just about any juicy news. "Good." she said with a grin, "You can call me at whatever time, for something like that." she said still laughing, though truth be told she was being totally serious.
She had a point, but Adneah knew now that the fire she had seen would never have actually burnt down her house. "I'll blame it all on Gonza knocking over a candle or something." she said with a shrug. Gonza was the crazy one of the two, hence the slightly odd name. The name didn't make sense until you met the dog. She looked down at her watch again, replaying in her mind the exact moment she had received the watch, and what had happened when she did. "Thanks, Natsumi just found them, and we both decided we wanted one." it was a pretty watch, and it looked rather high tech, which it was, but no one needed to know that. The communicator in them that allowed her to talk to Natsumi easily was also very handy. "And yea, she transferred in not too long ago. She's really sweet, worth getting to know. And she has the most adorable wardrobe ever." Adenah said with a bit of a jealous sigh. Adenah had never actually seen the other girls closet, but she had seen many of Natsumi's outfits, and wished she owned them all. She really needed to do some shopping in Japan, if she could convince her parents to vacation there.
Dee finally turned to look at the window, her heart fluttering slightly. They were staring at her. Go act like crows! she thought furiously, though she knew they couldn't hear her. It must have been something in the look she gave them, but all of a sudden they both hopped and turned on the spot, and then took off from the ground, only to land again in a tree that was part of the sidewalk outside the cafe. Well...that was better than nothing anyway. Shaking her head slightly, she turned to look back at Audrey with a smile. "Weird birds." she commented lightly, before addressing what she was saying. "Logically speaking, yea, you're right. But people aren't going to step up and start talking about it." at least not with anyone who they didn't trust. It would make her job so much easier if they did. One thing was for sure, Adenah was going to have to keep an eye on Audrey. "Well, with the way society is today, you can understand why people would be like that. They would think they're crazy, or most of them anyway. I don't think you've gone off the deep end, and there's got to be some people who think that too. Cheer up luv, you aren't going mad."
