"If Mulder and Scully show up at my front door, we're going to have problems, my dear!" Audrey widened her eyes at this statement and tried her hardest to hold back the smile that was twitching to break free in the corners of her lips. "I'll know it was you who called them and then I'll be sure to send them to your house as soon as they're done...freaking me out or whatever it is that they do!" Audrey had, admittedly, never watched many episodes of The X Files, but everyone knew who the famous duo from the show were and what they did (sort of.) At the comment about the mother ship, Audrey tossed back her head and laughed out loud (not even trying to contain her laughter this time), causing a few heads to turn in their direction. "I have a feeling that if and when the mother ship touches down in my front yard, I won't have to tell you to let you know it happened." Audrey partly spoke in jest, while a little bit of her spoke out of pure truth. Both girls saw just how quickly the whole town of Alameda reacted to the theater being blown to bits mysterious...if some intergalactic space ship touched down in her front yard, it would be a miracle if the whole town didn't know within a few seconds. "However... I'll do my best to make sure that you're the first one to know." Audrey lifted her cup of vanilla latte to her lips, winking across the table at her friend as she did so.
Auds nodded her head slowly as Dee told her that she hadn't experienced any random bursts of fire. That was more than likely a good sign...at least it significantly diminished Audrey's worries that Dee might actually spontaneously combust. "Well...that's good to hear. You might have started the house on fire or something and then when the fire department came, you'd have to explain how fire just appeared in front of you. Good luck getting them believe that." Audrey snickered lightly before, once again, turning her attention back onto Dee's watch. Again, she felt drawn to it...though she forced herself to keep from reaching out and trying to touch it again...though the task of keeping herself from staring at it too awfully much seemed practically impossible. "Oh... Well, it's really pretty." So she had got it while out shopping? Maybe that's where she'd seen it...just at some store. But still, why was she so drawn to it? Pulling her eyes away from the watch, she met Adenah's gaze. "Natsumi? You mean the girl from Japan?" Audrey tilted her head to the side, folding her arms across the table. "I think I've seen her in the halls...she seems really nice."
Taking a look out of the window simply by chance, Auds noticed that the crows were still there and still staring through the window. It appeared as though they were still staring intently at Dee, but again, what did Audrey know? Only slightly weirded out by the fact that the crows were still there, Audrey took a quick sip from her latte before shrugging her shoulders lightly. "Well...maybe there's someone else out there. I mean, we can't be the only ones to experience stuff like this, right? I mean...logistically speaking, there have to be more people out there." The St. Marina's senior stared down at her drink, sitting in silence before flipping a few strands of hair over her shoulder and smiling back up at her friend. "I just wish I could find more information about it. I would go around asking people, but I figure that most are too afraid to admit that they had something...completely weird happen to them in the middle of the night that they can't explain. They might feel crazy or something."
