She could understand the need to have more going on when you did work. It was what she needed too, even if not everyone agreed. "Yeah, I know what you mean. I need more going on too." She liked the noise, it was less of a distraction than the quiet was, if that made any sense what so ever. She looked around the cafe was well, taking in the faces around them. Many of them she knew, and catching the eye of a few people she waved. From the dance team, the drama department, her classes, whatever, Adenah knew a lot of people from her one year at the school. Finally she brought her eyes back to Audrey. She was one of the people she was most close to in her one year here, and Dee was fairly sure she had the drama department to thank for that. It was eating at her, the fact that she couldn't tell her what was going on. She'd love to...just...maybe she would be able to later, if her theory was true. There were only two scouts found that she knew of, maybe it just wasn't her friends time yet.
Weird guy? Well, they were everywhere. That was nothing new, there was more in California than probably any other state in this country. They couldn't be avoided. A tiny smile came to her face when Audrey nudged her. She was only half joking, but she couldn't let Audrey know that. She couldn't help but feel just a little disappointed when it seemed that Audrey had not had the same experience as her. Not yes anyway. Dee nudged her back with her foot under the table, smiling, but it did not quite reach her eyes. "Well, I had to ask. Just in case I had to call Mulder and Scully on you." she said, now trying to keep the tone light. It seemed that no, Auds was not a Scout, and maybe she never would be. There wasn't much she could do about that. "Just be sure to tell me if the mother ship touches down in your front yard." again, she was only half joking. It wasn't the mother ship, but hey, it might as well have been. She was Mars, a whole other planet.
"There has been no fire randomly exploding in front of me." just fire that she wanted to explode...from her. It wasn't a lie, not really. She had full control over the fire that was around her now. And determined to learn more, to be as strong as she had once been before, in another life. "I swear I'm not a-" she blinked when Audrey started spacing. Following her eyes, it landed on her watching. Tensing, she watched as Auds started to reach toward it. She didn't move for a second, waiting to see what would happen. When she pulled away, she bit back a sigh of relief. Dee was just figuring out a few things about this watch, she didn't want Audrey pressing a button that could give her a way. "Yeah." she said with a nod. "This new girl at school, Natsumi went shopping the other day, we got new watches." which would cover why they both had the same watches, she would just have to check that story with Natsumi next time she saw her. She was probably going to be spending a lot of time with the girl anyway, so they should probably start coming up with excuses. They had an enemy to fight, after all, even if they didn't know who it was.
