She looked to Audrey's wrist, trying to see if there was a watch similar to the one displayed on her arm, and the one on Natsumi's. She didn't look too long before she simply shook her head, and lifted her tea cup to her lips to take a sip. "No, not strange happenings that I can't explain." she said with a sigh. Sure, there were strange happenings, but she could now explain them. They all made sense, as messed up as they were. Or they all made sense now, the fire, the times she knew when things were just wrong. It was all because of who she once was. She felt bad, not telling Audrey. She felt like she at least owed her the truth. But Adenah knew she couldn't tell. Scouts should only tell who they are to other scouts. It seemed Audrey wasn't one. But she just had to be, it only made sense. I mean, if she saw fire and then turned out to be a scout, wasn't what Audrey went though almost the same thing, just a different element? Maybe she was Mercury...it could happen, couldn't it? Maybe she was just hiding it.
Outside, a crow screamed, rather loudly, and landed right in front of the window of the cafe, followed by another one. Her eyes flicked to the window, cursing the crows for a moment. Could they be any more attention drawing? They hadn't left her alone since the last week. She didn't know what to make of it. A few heads in the care turned to look at the odd birds staring in the window, some of them pointing. Pretending not to notice, she went to pick at her muffin with a sigh. "Same feelings I guess, but I've had those all my life. I wouldn't expect them to change now." it would seem more odd if the sense just sort of up and left. The birds shut up, but continued to stare in the window. Life would be so much easier if she actually spoke crow. She had to be going insane. Two weeks ago life was totally normal, except for the theater being destroyed. Now she was a Soldier, had an identity to keep secret, had to keep the planet safe and had crows following her around like she was going to be shot at any second. America, this never would have happened in England.
