I'd like to turn to a type of song that people like myself find ourselves subjected to with increasing frequency as time goes on, and that is the college alma mater. You'll find yourself at a reunion of grads, and old undergrads, and eh... somebody will start croaking out one of these things and everyone will gradually join in -- each in his own key, of course -- until the place is just soggy with nostalgia. Well, a typical such song might be called Bright College Days, and might go like this. Bright college days, O carefree days that fly, To thee we sing with our glasses raised on high. Let's drink a toast as each of us recalls Ivy-covered professors in ivy-covered halls. Turn on the spigot, pour the beer and swig it, and gaudeamus igit-ur. Here's to parties we tossed, To the games that we lost, We shall claim that we won them some day. To the girls young and sweet, To the spacious back seat of our beat up Chevrolet.

[Once again, James tried to pull out a winning move in amusing Ava. Last week was a failure - obviously - but this week, he decided to pull a stunt that he otherwise never would have done. This, truthfully, was far more humiliating for him than streaking.

Meeting up with a handful of kids from the youth center where he volunteers, he and the children quickly developed their own version of
Peter Pan. Setting up outside of Ava's dorm window at mid-morning, he and the kids quickly and efficiently put together a small stage on the campus green. At two o'clock the play began, little 8-year-old Joey emerging from behind the curtains as the titular character.

While the play itself only lasted a half an hour, James was an impressive Captain Hook, the swordfights were engaging, and the children laughed their way through half the acts. They all took a bow together for any and all who were watching, including two or three of the parents who came out to see their kids. When they were finished disassembling all the props, James gave a quick nod to Ava and sauntered off, feeling pretty damn happy.]

Better show than last week, wasn't it? I think so.

We need to talk.

Now everyone knows I'm great with kids. I hope you're happy.

Saved you an eyepatch and the plastic sword that killed me. ;)

Beauty and the Beast is on.

I...really hate that movie. I hate the story in general, I think. It's just...

awful.

Final exams are well on their way to approaching and I couldn't be any more uneasy. Can't they just count all of my cumulative grades, find the mean, and let that suit? I don't want to think about Shakespeare anymore. But I do think I'll be signing up for summer classes.

At Maddie's suggestion, I was thinking of looking at puppies at the local shelter soon if someone wants to come with me. I'm always happy to have a second opinion. Ah, I mean, if that's alright with you, Zack. say yes say yes say yes

I was as well considering another tattoo, if anyone has any ideas. Perhaps something suited for the ribcage or ankle? I have to be careful of placement - unfortunately visible tattoos don't get you on the air!

Zack, can you help me later? I think I have a spider in my hair.

I got you something! When you have time, come to the apartment!

Stay up late, we don’t sleep,
Got our friends, got the night -
We’ll be alright."

Dear Frozen Chocolate Martini - you were far more alcoholic than I realized, and I am now giggly. That's what you get for letting Ryan mix your drinks, self, so remember that in the future. Yours, Not-Drunk-Aria~

Today is a day I won't soon forget. Not only did I get invited to the Arapahoe high school prom by not one but two charming young gentlemen while I was serving their table at work, but I also got quite a few suggestions for how I could celebrate my upcoming birthday from those same kids. While I'm pretty sure the school would frown upon a 'raging kegger' some of their other ideas had merit.

Especially the idea for renting out the VIP area of a club, or throwing an ABC party. The only issue with that second one is I'd need to find a place to pull that off, hmm. I'm turning twenty-four at the end of this month, I've got to do something wild before I get too old. I wonder, if I threw a party, probably on the 28th, who would want to come help me celebrate?

The staff of the Wellness Center would like to remind all students and faculty condoms/STD testing/pregnancy screenings are always free of charge. Should you need any further treatment, we have both treatment options in house and at the local hospital. As always, your health, safety, and privacy are our top concern. Please never feel embarrassed in making an appointment.

I respectfully request people do not talk about the following things in my presence over the forums as they have a lasting and detrimental impression on myself:

● The BeeGees
● PBR mixed with Paul-Mall cigarette breath
● The color avocado green
● Linoleum floors
● Marmite
● Coal dust under fingernails
● Fathers in general

The nice thing about having a dual major is that it makes staying here over the summer a sound argument. Colorado is probably much nicer than West Virginia in the summer.
