Oh shit you guys, it's a Castor, get in the car!

...but no, seriously, you should have expected this. Castor is here, though in this life he goes by Brandon Murphy-Coleman. He's the 20 year old brother of Pollux, aka Rory Murphy-Coleman, and he's a junior in the Atrophysics program.

His powers:
Flash of the blade: Although he's never formally taken lessons, Castor is an excellent fencer. When he picks up his weapon it's like it becomes a part of him, regardless of what sword-type he chooses. He's not impossible to beat, but fighting him is incredibly challenging.

Horse sense: Castor has a knack with horses, to the point where some suspect he can speak to and understand them. Their suspicions would be correct, though it's not something he broadcasts.

This mortal coil: Due to his less-than-divine parentage, Castor knows that he's fated to die at some point. However, he's unsure of exactly when and how. What he does know, is that if he's about to do something that could end in his potential death, he gets a tingling in his spine that warns him to be cautious.

He'll be in Fencing, Animal Rights, and Parkour, and he works at The Ark. Otherwise, his app is here, and since he's been at the school for two years now people can know him as Brandon (or Bran). He's never publicly come out as Castor.

So... in what's becoming a rather strange trend, sometime between the hours of 3-4am last night, Riley could possibly have been seen leaving 14 Laughland Court in a too-big t-shirt sans pants in a huff, and stomping in the direction of the Black Woods. If your character would like to have spotted her, by all means you can say they did, but know she would have ignored any attempts to strike up a conversation and possibly would have responded as per her icon.

Edit -- I feel like it should be said that Riley's pants could be found in the stairwell between the 1st and 2nd floor, ripped beyond repair. The story of how they got that way is for another time. <333

Jill here, with the latest addition to her cast -- Pheme, aka Natalia Adelaide Hammond. ^^; For the brief history, she's new to Montenegro and lives at #104 Spark St with Kitsune and Elaine of Corbenic, and she'll be going into her senior year doing Journalism. Her application is here if you wanna poke at it, but here's the important part...

Her powers:
Many-eyed, many-eared, many-tongued: As a goddess Pheme had the ability to see, hear, and subsequently spread any piece of information she discovered with lightening speed. In this, the age of technology, Pheme still has that ability to an extent -- if people are talking or writing within 50 ft of her she can pick up on their conversation or see what they've written -- though it doesn't work against filtered items.

Open your heart to me: When around Pheme for fifteen minutes or more, people will tell her things they usually wouldn't reveal. This could be anything from how they used to wee the bed to something far worse. The usefulness of the information she gets is dependent on the persons' will - the lower the persons' will the more scandalous the story.

The pen is mightier: When Pheme has something to say, people listen. Be it good or bad, her words can affect a persons' reputation if she so desires it. When she puts in a good word for someone, or chooses to slander them, other people take it with more gravitas than usual. How deeply they let her words affect them is up to the person hearing/reading them and dependent on how willing they are to believe it.

So, give me whatever, mmmkay?

Fair warning -- Pheme will put out 'blind items' relating to things she's read or seen (ie, public interactions), and the only way to avoid being the subject of one is to be incredibly careful in your public conversations.

Hey everyone, Jill here just letting people know that after a bit of a search I changed Cassandra's PB to Keisha Castle-Hughes. I thought she was more suitable. Therefore, don't be surprised. ^o^

Jill here with a newbie in every sense of the word. Not only is Cassandra a new character, but she's coming in completely new to Montenegro Uni starting her undergraduate career.

♥ 5'1", but her posture often makes her seem smaller
♥ An awkward little polyglot, she might creep on conversations in other languages if they're not filtered.

Powers;
Oracle - Cassandra can predict the future in the form of isolated events happening within the next two weeks, usually without context. The spells come upon her suddenly, typically triggered by someone touching her although they've been known to just happen. When the urge comes over her, it's immediately noticeable. Her eyes roll back in her head, she begins babbling in some other language (the modern day equivalent of speaking in tongues, although the actual prophecy is always in English), and when all is said and done she faints. It's because of this that she attempts to avoid being touched unless she's truly comfortable with a person, and often wears long sleeves, pants, and finger-less gloves no matter what the weather is like.
note - I will always ask permission before using this power.

Tongues - As a throwback to her time as a seer, Cassandra is incredibly proficient at languages. She can read, speak, and understand most languages that are commonly spoken, and even a few that aren't. Oftentimes, when she's concentrating especially hard on something, she'll slip into Greek or Māori without even realizing it.

Trojan Horse - Despite her best efforts, people usually don't believe Cassandra when she tries telling them something she deems important. This can be anything from one of her prophesies to why she can't go out after class. Every so often she encounters someone who does believe her, and when that happens she goes out of her way to keep on their good side.
note - I'm leaving it up to people as to whether or not they want to trust her.

Guess what time it is, cats and kittens? New character time!

This lovely coquette is Nimue. She's a 20 year old (soon to be 21) Criminal Justice major who goes by the name Désirée Adler. Also, she works at Camelot Pub.

Des a fun chick who likes to party, has no problem going after what she wants, and likes people who serve a purpose. She's definitely a girly-girl and into older guys, the easier-led the better but damn does she enjoy a challenge. More information on her can be found here.

Her powers are as follows:
Enchantress: If she holds eye contact with someone while touching them and speaking in a low tone meant for their ears alone, Nimue can give them the urge to do what she's asking. The success is dependent on the suggestion, and their will (example, 'get me a drink' will go over better than 'dump your significant other'). This works better on men than on women.

Lady of the Lake: As one of the many ladies of the lake mentioned in Arthurian literature, Nimue has a fondness for water. She excels at swimming and water-based activities, to the point where some might think she was part water nymph (basing this off her portrayal in the T.H. White novel 'The Once And Future King').

Trapped: Much like how she once trapped Merlin in a cave to live out the end of his days, Nimue can freeze a person in place for up to ten minutes, effectively trapping them in their own bodies. The person can still see and hear everything going on around them, but they cannot act, and the duration is dependent on the target's will (unless you're Merlin, then you get the full 10 minutes). Doing this takes a lot out of Nimue, so she only uses it as a last resort in a conflict.

I'm looking for anything and everything with her -- friends, enemies, exes, maybe even a current boyfriend. Hit me with your best shot.

Hey all, Jill here introducing Thetis. For those of you who don't know, she's Achilles' mama and Amphitrite's sister, a sea goddess/nymph who was once pursued by both Zeus and Poseidon before getting married off to a mortal named Peleus.

Here in Montenegro she's Charlotte Leventis, but she prefers her friends call her Charlie, and works as an assistant teacher at the daycare center affiliated with the school, Tadpole Academy, so if anyone has a child or has done any time taking Early Childhood Education classes they might know her. Or, it's possible people have seen her around, with her two-year old son Xander, generally keeping to herself. Why hello ladies, gents, it's your friendly neighborhood Jill here to introduce you all to Anteros. Known around these parts as Andrew Hart, he's a Communications major with a minor in Psychology and some of you might be aware of his presence through the advice show he hosts on Radio MNU 105.5, The Love Line, or through the dorms where he's Apep's charming and debonair roomie. =D



To give you a little background, his powers are:

Avenger - Heartbreakers beware! If Anteros somehow finds out you dumped someone and left them heartbroken he'll kick your ass. Not exactly what one would consider a tough guy, when fighting someone who recently caused another emotional pain Anteros can't lose.

Counter-love - Speaking of being heartbroken, if you want to make the person who hurt you experience your pain then Anteros is your man! While in the days of old he used his golden club, nowadays Anteros will draw a picture of a club, writing in the names of the spurned and the one who did the spurning, and for up to one hour the one who did the dumping will feel just how much that emotional letdown affected the other person. Depending on how emotional the intended is, this could manifest as a full-out sobfest to something as simple as a blip on their radar, however they still feel something.

Love Returned - if you love someone but you're not sure if they love you back, just ask Anteros! Using his sketch of a club inscribed with the names of the two people involved in it, for up to twenty-four hours the unsure victim person will experience thoughts of the one who claims to love them. What they choose to do with these thoughts is up to them, and stronger-willed people experience a more vague version.

He doesn't exactly go around advertising them like certain people *coughEroscough* does, but he has a tendency to tell those who he thinks might benefit from them about what he can do.

Since earlier in the week I made a post for people attending Aria's party to work out what was going down, I figured a follow-up post would be helpful for plotting the aftermath - especially since Hnoss' powers would be in effect so there might be some drama.

If anyone wants to comment on stuff that others might have done or picked up on that could cause trouble in the days after the party, then have at!

In case you were unaware, Aria will be throwing an ABC Party on Saturday at Club Olympus to celebrate her impending birthday. For those who might not know, the theme of an ABC party is anything but clothes, which means participants can wear whatever they like so long as it's not traditional clothing.

Since I see no reason to log this out, because I've no idea who might participate, I figured we could use this post for plotting out any happenings or encounters people might want to have. Any students (and Zeus) are welcome to attend, so don't be shy!

Oh hello thar, Jill here with a new friend for all of you - Meet Professor Malcolm Corbin Archer, aka Raven. The first person to make a "That's so..." joke will get the courtesy of a withering glare.

He teaches Ornithology, and will soon be establishing two clubs. Anything else you might need to know can be found in his application. I still need to do his syllabus too, damnit.
