I'd like to turn to a type of song that people like myself find ourselves subjected to with increasing frequency as time goes on, and that is the college alma mater. You'll find yourself at a reunion of grads, and old undergrads, and eh... somebody will start croaking out one of these things and everyone will gradually join in -- each in his own key, of course -- until the place is just soggy with nostalgia. Well, a typical such song might be called Bright College Days, and might go like this. Bright college days, O carefree days that fly, To thee we sing with our glasses raised on high. Let's drink a toast as each of us recalls Ivy-covered professors in ivy-covered halls. Turn on the spigot, pour the beer and swig it, and gaudeamus igit-ur. Here's to parties we tossed, To the games that we lost, We shall claim that we won them some day. To the girls young and sweet, To the spacious back seat of our beat up Chevrolet.

We also have one final announcement about applications! The application with the new personality section is here. Thank you to all who made suggestions in our last post! This version is not final. Should things not work out, or if the mods don't feel this is sufficient, we may change it down the line, but not without player's suggestions. The application is never final -- we will always accept suggestions as to how it can be better! For how, however, we will try this and see how it works out.

This said, if anyone has already started their personality sections in prose format, please do not feel obligated to switch to this format. We only ask that for a new app, you use the new app form.

I have with me a bag of dicks. Neoptolemus is the epitome of the insensitive bastard. He thinks women are weak and only good for one thing, he probably eats tacks for breakfast, and he towers over most people and likes it.

Short story on Neoptolemus: he was the son of Achilles, called to the Trojan War during the last year of the war after Helenus said that Troy wouldn't fall if he didn't come fuck shit up. So he came, he fucked shit up, and he killed the following people: Hector's sister Polyxena, his father Priam, and his son Astyanax. He took the man's wife as his concubine, and his brother Helenus as his slave. THAT'S NOT IT THOUGH. He was also promised to Helen's daughter Hermione by her daddy. So that was a happy marriage.

In this life, he's Kain Vogel, ex-army professor of Military. He's brand new to MNU. He's also the cousin of Anteros~ so I'm sure family reunions are nice. The rest of his backstory is in his app and such. He'll be FA for MMA soon enough, and his ability is the following:

FEAR ME - He gives off something like an aura of fear. Anyone who stands too close to him will feel chills, or even legitimate fear. How much it affects someone depends on their level of resistance. If they're someone who is easily frightened, they'll be shaking in their boots the second they're within two feet of him. Someone who's more or less immune to being afraid, or is at least less likely to feel it, will be less affected.

Now, I usually don't do this with most characters, but in the event that Neoptolemus is an asshole to you, please don't take it personally, and please don't confuse me for my character. I =/= him. And I love you all, so no debate about that. Now have a sloth.

Hello! This Aura and today I bring you Sekhmet! Also known as Lien-Hua but you are never going to know that's her name (unless you're Faye. Damn you Faye, you can't tell anyone). Instead you will probably know her as Lena, She Who Dances And Is A Bit Blunt. She's like those big, muscular dudes that are all friendly and will drag you for beers and skirt chasing. But she's a girl, so eh, maybe some people will find her too direct at times? She's sort of a hothead too, although her ability to hold a grudge is zero.

She's a junior and pretty much came around with Hathor ([info]shaungxi) because they knew each other over the Internet but now they are here, messing up your business. So she probably knows a lot of people! And might already have some enemies/frenemies/bros/flings and all the in-betweens.

She only has one power, although is like an amalgam of what made her Sekhmet, so go to the app and read it because I have no brainpower to explain it in any other way right now; suffice to say, she rocks at all things physical. Also lol I'm changing that layout asap.

And I think that's all! Now I gotta go back to fight with YouTube for another post I've been trying to make since last week >.<

hi guys! venus here with my new boy, abel / samuel rosenblum. he grew up with aria dixon and dated her all throughout their undergrad until he accidentally fell in love with his co-worker. he couldn't work up the balls to leave aria and hurt her feelings so when she caught him with his new gf, he took the opportunity and ran. besides being that kind of asshole, he is actually very sweet and gentle. he just has no backbone whatsoever. and he is still dating that new girl, who is probably the one so if anyone would like to fill in that spot with a char in game or app one ^_^

basics:
• zoology grad student, third year
• lives in student housing
• is 25, turning 26 in september
• treasurer of animal rights, member of music club
• works at the daycare center

storylines:
• desperately want his gf in game for drama! and fluffy times! ^^
• reminding self: his best friend is gabriel, thetis is his boss/friend, friends with mordred, cowherd, osiris. doesn't get along with eros or ares obviously.
• definitely needs more friends!
