I'd like to turn to a type of song that people like myself find ourselves subjected to with increasing frequency as time goes on, and that is the college alma mater. You'll find yourself at a reunion of grads, and old undergrads, and eh... somebody will start croaking out one of these things and everyone will gradually join in -- each in his own key, of course -- until the place is just soggy with nostalgia. Well, a typical such song might be called Bright College Days, and might go like this. Bright college days, O carefree days that fly, To thee we sing with our glasses raised on high. Let's drink a toast as each of us recalls Ivy-covered professors in ivy-covered halls. Turn on the spigot, pour the beer and swig it, and gaudeamus igit-ur. Here's to parties we tossed, To the games that we lost, We shall claim that we won them some day. To the girls young and sweet, To the spacious back seat of our beat up Chevrolet.

hey guys – as i slough through the mire that is finals, i am technically on hiatus. i am replying right now because i have no self control. that being said, expect to be VERY scarce.

i also have a character to introduce when i do get back, so get your fingers ready and crossed for her grand entrance. :)

Hello guys! Just another quick update from the mods. Housing, the taken character page, settings, and contacts have been updated! The following people are now roommates:
    Anteros and Apep
    Tia and Khimera

    Unfortunately, no roommates yet for Mug Ruith and Polyhymnia! SOON, SOON.
And moving into outside housing is –
    Helen of Troy [with Apollo]
    Paimon [with five NPC!roommates]
    Hermes
    Kishijoten [with Medea]
Again, the following people are looking for roommates:
    Zephyrus is looking for THREE roommates.
    Paimon is looking for FIVE roommates.
I'd also like to take this time encourage people to reconsider singles and having your character be free to meet more people and consider consolidating with other characters to be roommates!
    That being said, please do let us know if you 1) have plans to move your character out/into housing, 2) want your character to have a single, or 3) if your character lives off-campus, if they are switching roommates or anything.
And some small announcements regarding doing the taken page coding –
  • We'd also like to note that Asian names should be placed in the western order (given name and then surname) just for consistency's sake with the rest of the characters, both for PBs and for the character's names.
  • We also want to reiterate that the icon you put into the code should be one YOU personally host or one from Insanejournal – under no circumstances should we be stealing bandwidth from the iconmaker. That's just really bad behavior and we don't like that. :(
Also, don't forget to tap the following resources for ways of creating CR: floormates, co-workers, and major-mates are all great ways to have characters run in!
