The past twenty-four hours had sucked major balls and even though he had played over everything in his mind more than a few times, Jon still wasn’t exactly sure what happened. Hell, he wasn’t even sure he wanted to know exactly what happened. Literature and television had always told him that women were a mystery and now that things had transpired, he could wholeheartedly agree with that fact. Women were strange. Except for his youngest sister, of course, which was why the two of them were currently hiding away in the woods with a joint he had scored off one of the trombone players when the fellow brass player had heard his tale of woe. This joint was the magic cure at the moment, allowing him to finally relax and such out most of the word. Out in the woods, it was just him, his sister, and the myriad of thoughts slowly filtering out of his brain. “Man. Juju would totally kill us if she could see us right now,” he murmured after about ten minutes of silence and passing between them. ~ Jazz had only shown up at his dorm room to hang out. While she was very well aware of what had happened and had been told to talk to him, she couldn't say that she knew how without turning into some sort of spastic mess. So, she did what she was certain she could manage without any amount of failing: she ventured out into the woods and got high with him. There was no way she could fuck that up. Bringing her knees to her chest, she had barely batted so much as an eyelash when he spoke. She heard what he had said, it was clear as day, but it was taking her some time to filter through her current thoughts to finally acknowledge it. Crunching up her nose and tilting her head to rest against her shoulder, Jazz gave a soft sort of noise - a lazy "ah ha" really - and gradually then turned her attention to her brother. "She so fucking would" She smirked idly: there was something worth laughing at in that very idea. Though she wasn't sure what yet, she'd come to it. Eventually. Then a thought struck her and she looked wide eyed at Jon. What she had to say was incredibly important, obviously. "She's totally a spy. Bet she's hiding somewhere to see what we do so she can report it back to mom and mama." ~ He had greatly appreciated Jazz coming to see him, but in true sibling fashion he couldn’t exactly say that outloud. That ran the risk of venturing into that territory they tried to avoid, so he had settled on this. Nothing said you loved your sibling like allowing them to partake in some illegal activity. As she spoke, he turned his attention toward her and listened intently while he watched her with squinted eyes. Her words made complete sense, especially because he was high. This was clearly the only reason the eldest McNamara sibling had shown up at their university without so much as a warning. It made complete sense now and would continue to do so until the buzz wore off a few hours down the line. “Yeah,” he said as he nodded. “Totally here to spy on us.” Smiling mostly to himself, Jon leaned his head down so it could rest on top of Jazz’s. Neither of them said a word after that, but neither of them really felt they had to speak. |
