His smile. Very rarely did people smile at her. She couldn't count the number of times because the instances were few and far between. Lately, people have been smiling at her, but she believed it to be a fluke and would die down soon. But his smile, that smile, it was different than Cain's smile, than Fenrir's, and even AngrboĆ°a's. It made her feel different. It made her smile back.
"I compromised with Backstreet Boys," she said in her strange new cheerful voice as two Darla voices spoke in the background, "But I wanted NSYNC."
She sighed and shook her head as she stopped scratching her hand. The last thing she needed was to scratch hard enough to break the skin. That would look good. She let her hand drop to her side as she saw Legion raise his to his forehead. Hel wondered if he was suddenly coming down with something that was going to get him out of spending time with her. Her jaw clenched as if her subconscious was trying to stop her from saying something. And it was.
