It wasn't hard to notice something was also wrong with Angrboða. Even though Hel hadn't spent a long time around the other woman, she knew enough to know cheery wasn't one of Angrboða's go to emotions. Slightly confused, Hel just watched her former mother as she talked about snacks.
With her fist relaxing, she turned her attention back to Legion. He was stumbling a bit. Thinking it was kind of cute -- a thought that was very strange to her as she never thought anything to be cute before -- she laughed. It came out as a small giggle, a sweet sort of sound. She didn't mean to do it. She actually hated people who laughed like that. In high school, she spent days trying to stay away from those people but was ultimately unsuccessful since they seemed to be everywhere.
Standing there biting the inside of her bottom lip, the voices around her were telling her to forget about the laugh, to just say something so it didn't hang in the air. Or that could have been her own voice, she wasn't exactly sure. She looked around as if trying to find someone who wasn't there. What she was doing was trying to find a clear voice from someone she would never be able to see. She was trying to find the one voice who was always reasonable, no matter what.
For some reason, that was the one voice that wasn't coming through, so Hel did the one thing she was getting good at today: she talked. "I have some movies in my room. Mostly horror or suspense, but I have Johnny Depp's entire work so far because he's kind of cute. I also have Tim Burton's films too. We can use the TV in the lounge. Or you can get one from your room. I'm sure I'll like anything you choose. I have liked all the music."
