Legion had been prepping himself for this for about an hour. He'd been up for a while, listening to the various influences in his head tell him he was going to absolutely fail at whatever it was he was trying to accomplish with Hel today. Hel wasn't going to like him. Hel was going to think he was strange, or stranger than he was online, and they'd all been trying so hard to keep it together. She was stirring up…nice feelings in him, and parts of him rallied against it, but other parts of him were totally in support. He spent a long time just staring at himself in the mirror, trying to get his hair to do something manageable, and not exactly loving the fact that it looked like he hadn't slept very well last night.
So, when he sort of stumbled out into the lobby, he was quite nervous, trying not to wring his hands together or give the overall impression that he was as anxious as he was, though the roaring in his head had gotten so much worse upon venturing out of his dorm room. Max was stuck between wanting to hide, and wanting to see Hel, just to see her, and ended up leaving quite early, not expecting her to be there and wanting some time to sort out the voices in his head. The minute he saw her, the roar had gotten completely unbearable. God, he couldn't do this. She looked nice, and he'd only shown up in a Mayhem t-shirt and a pair of jeans, but nonetheless, he felt like going right back to hiding.
It looked like everyone was there but him, and for a minute, he considered turning back around. There was a great commotion about it, but he kind of stepped forward, waved, and smiled a little weakly at Hel. What to say first? He had vaguely heard her mention something about looking too dressed up, and he wanted to tell her that she wasn't, and that she looked fine, but it wouldn't come out.
"Hi." came tumbling out instead. Just that. Nothing else.
