Aria was steadfastly refusing to allow herself to cry over this- her emotions were running higher than usual but her father wasn't worth her getting this upset- but the strain of holding back the tears was wearing on her. The fact that nobody had stopped her from running out of there didn't even weigh on her mind, it was supposed to be a fun occasion and despite knowing Arron, Ben, and Jonathan had all showed up she would hate to have ruined their enjoyment of the evening. Besides, she hated the thought of any of her friends seeing her cry, since she liked to perpetuate the image of being a hardcore type.
Frustration flooded her system leaving her unable to move. She wanted nothing more than to go back to her room, take a hot shower, and then curl up under her blankets with her favorite teddy bear Sir H.A.L., but she was too angry and hurt to do anything more than punch herself in the leg in an effort to make herself too annoyed to cry.
Aria wasn't paying attention to any outside sounds, all wrapped up in trying to get herself under control that when she heard Arron calling out to her she was so startled that she moved back too quickly and whacked her head off the brick wall behind her. Reaching back to rub her head, mouthing the word 'ow' as she felt for a bump, she managed to find her voice enough to respond. "Arron? Now isn't really a good time." She cringed at how pathetic she sounded, but there was little she could do about that.
