Giggling at Cai's compliment of her apartment, she shrugged gaily. "Thank you! It's my favorite art piece. The walls change colors all the time. Right now I'm trying to evoke the exciting arrival of spring. But I'm still partway in winter." She gestured to a couple of the grey and blue walls.
But when Cai had the present in her possession, Blythe sat across from her quietly, watching her for a reaction. The "Blythie" luminated her face and she couldn't help but smile into her hands. "Yes, I made the seashells last night and I strung them up this morning. I just thought you'd like a little reminder of something you cherish."
