Blythe smirked. "Don't worry, I know what you meant. And I'm still far more comfortable right now than you are, I imagine." She smiled back kindly to Cai's apologetic look. "You've nothing to worry about." She patted her arm. "Trust me."
With the building in sight, Blythe started pulling her keys out of a pocket in her jacket. She first thought she'd give Cai her gift at the coffee shop, but wondered if giving it to her at the apartment would be easier. Besides, she was excited to see what her friend thought.
"I couldn't blame you." She said. "This winter has been a strange one. There were a few weeks I thought I could survive comfortably on shorts. I also have the unfair advantage of knowing how the weather will be."
Truly, one of her favorite morning routines was arguing with the weatherman.
