The fact that Cai had so much trust in her really overwhelmed Blythe. It made her exceedingly grateful to have made such an understanding companion. Stuffing her clothes into her bag and into her locker, she and Cai began walking towards the doors separating the changing room to the pool.
"It was so much fun!" Blythe exclaimed, thinking on the time she'd spent at the circus. She had worked at a traveling circus in the summer before her senior year of high school. And after hearing they were passing Colorado last autumn, she'd hiked out to see them again. "I got to be shot out of a canon! Elaine - the girl who does that - was sick, so they had me do it. I can't believe I hadn't begged to do it before."
