jonathan mcnamara can kinda see the future (heimdalr) wrote in monte_logs,
For once, Jonathan was actually doing homework. Or at least he planned on doing homework in the near future. Twenty minutes ago, he had pulled out his music theory worksheet and loaded up his piano app on his iPad with the full intent of completing his assignment.
But then he decided he was hungry, so five minutes were spent scrounging around the room seeing if Ben had any good food hidden around the place. Once he found a pack of stale Milano cookies, he clearly needed a drink to go with the chocolate delicious drink, so he dug a bottle of Rolling Rock out of the storage box that was neatly tucked away on the top shelf of his closet. Now he was truly ready to start his homework.
Or not.
By the time Aria knocked on his door, Jon had been attempting to learn the piano part to Biz Markie's classic romantic song Just A Friend. He had just crooned an on-key version of the famous chorus when he heard her warning and almost fell off the chair from surprise. "Shit!"
He stood up and looked at the near full bottle in his hand, which according to school policy he wasn't supposed to have due to he was still a few weeks shy of twenty one. So without really thinking, he tilted back his head and chugged the beer in a personal best time. Jonathan then buried the bottle in his small hamper at the foot of his bed before sauntering over to the door.
"Hey Aria," he said as he opened the door while trying his best to act casual. Nothing to see here, officer.
