The sudden redness suffusing his cheeks did not go unnoticed, and try as she might she couldn't stop herself from commenting on it. (He had yet to comment on her blushing so it was only fair.) "Adorable," she murmured, completely oblivious to the fact that she had just said that out loud. Unable to remember the last time she ever saw a guy blush, especially not because of something she had done. It was almost unbelievable to her; she had honestly believed that he was the most collected person she had ever met. Admittedly, this was the first time she was really spending time alone with him, and they were both out of their comfort zones, but he never gave off the impression of being the type to get visibly flustered.
His reaction had her mesmerized. That Aidan would be so thrown by a little hug, a friendly gesture even, was just plain amazing to her. (She was easily impressed by the unexpected.) Of course, considering how he reacted to a quick hug and friendly kiss, she was sure Aidan would spontaneously combust if she touched him again. Then, as though jolted out of a reverie, she realized what she was doing and jumped, sliding back away from him to give him more space. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have just done that without asking your permission!"
She had the grace to look embarrassed.
"Yeah, I'm that annoying chick who starts humming a song and gets it stuck in everyone's head, Aidan. Except... I do it with a touch, and it's whatever I have in my head." She bit her lower lip, looking mischievous. "I could demonstrate if you don't believe me."
