She could feel his eyes on her through the car window. To her credit, Euterpe resisted pulling the coat tighter around herself, instead putting a little slink into her walk now that she knew he was watching. Nothing like putting on a show when you know all eyes are on you, and nobody could put on a show like a muse. Besides, he'd been having a shit time of things, and Euterpe felt like he deserved her at her best. "I hope I was worth the wait, then."
She could tell something was up with him. Much as she wanted to ask, she knew that he wouldn't have come out tonight if he didn't need a distraction, and she was more than willing to give him one. Leaning back against the seat with a slight smirk, she ran one hand along the upholstery and crossed her legs, aware that he would be looking there. "This is a nice car, Belmont. I like how it's got a nice, big backseat, is that intentional?" She gave it a moment for her words to sink in before continuing. "I've never done it in the backseat of a car, but it's not like you knew that. If you did, I'd have to give you points for originality." For a moment she felt like she had everything under control, which made her feel much better, but then she heard what he said next.
"Wait, we're going to a restaurant?" She raised her eyebrows at the wink, panic flitting across her face. "A restaurant where people have to dress up?" A place like the Delphos, she was assuming, where even though she'd performed there she still felt like she didn't fit in.
