Who: Misa and Nico What: Breakfast in bed Where: Nico's apartment When: Friday morning Status: Incomplete
This morning was almost like every other morning. Nico woke up, brushed his teeth, took a shower, did his hair and went to make himself something to eat. The only difference was that he had a guest. Someone had stayed over last night and this morning, after slipping out of bed, and doing his usual morning routine he would cook for two instead of one. Nico was becoming accustomed to doing things like this now, it was like second nature. It was easy for him to remember that Misa was there. She had always been there, she was now just his girl friend, which meant that even though their friendship remained the same certain things did change. He thought it would be nice of him to prepare Misa some breakfast while she slept in his bed and in his clothes. It was a simple breakfast of toast, scrambled eggs, orange juice and pancakes but he had always heard that it was the thought that counted so he made her breakfast with pride and then brought it to her while still asleep in bed.
He ate his own breakfast while he cooked for her and began to set everything up. He laid out a tray and arranged all the utensils properly and filled her glass of orange juice carefully, once he had plated everything and was ready to take it into his room he glanced around his kitchen, this needed a final touch. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a flower he had picked from the apartment buildings garden for Misa just last night. He set the flower down on the tray near her glass and then smiled at it with great pride. He set the tray down on the nightstand beside her when he entered his room and then sat down next to her. Now to wake her up. For a moment he just watched her while she slept in peace and then poked her. She didn't move. He poked her again and nothing. Bending at the middle Nico leaned over to smack his big ol' lips on her cheek. Giving her funny bubbly kisses he thought that this would wake her up but she only complained. "Misa," he said, "Wake up, Misa. Food."
