Who: Klaus and Five Hargreeves
What: Running into each other; Klaus is Hungover
Where: Compound Kitchen
When: Sunday, Mid-morning
Klaus was really starting to like it here. It was almost easy to forget that this wasn't his life-- not really-- But Klaus had always been good at that. He had always been good at escaping his life and pretending it was something else... that's why he always relied on Ben to bring him back, but there was no Ben here and if he was being honest, did he even want to go back? Going back means he had to acknowledge that they'd fucked up again. Going back meant harrassment by there dad and that would probably be worse than it had been in the past because this man had actively not adopted them because of their meeting in the 60s. More importantly, going back meant living in a world where Ben was alive but didn't know who any of them were. He couldn't imagine seeing his brother, his best friend, the only sibling he felt like had always loved him unconditionally, and not know a thing about him. That didn't even touch on Klaus' new theory that one of them had caused Ben's death... and they all knew it was likely to be him. Klaus had done his best to forget that mission, he had been left as look out again, but he didn't remember anyone getting passed him (though, to be honest, he rarely did). The drinks from the night before were still rattling around in his head, causing a blinding headache but he'd been pretty good at pushing paste hang overs.
Hungry and hungover, Klaus stumbled into the communal kitchen, in the jeans and t-shirt that he'd been wearing at the club, crumpled over his body and caked with Clint's glitter. He smelled like sweat and alcohol and smoke. He moved to the fridge and leaned against it, his forhead pressing the cold stainless steel and his eyes fluttered closed for a moment. He hadn't paid attention to anyone else in the room, he rarely did. With a sigh, he opened the door and pulled a carton of orange juice out, not even bothering with a cup, sloppily drinking it from the carton. He turned to look for something to eat in the cabinet and almost dropped the jug of juice when he spotted Five. "Fuck, don't sneak up on people." Klaus shot a glare at him. It didn't matter that from the looks of things, Five had been there all along, Five was still being sneaky. He always was. "Give me a heart attack you will. Least you can do is help me find some cinnamon bread."
