The older woman paused, studying the girl then glancing at Stark. "How much do these newcomers know about the Sokovian Accords or the previous actions of superhumans here?" She looked back at the girl when Tony didn't answer.
"I would speak to Mr. Stark if you are so upset with this proposition. Or perhaps research it for yourself- these are dangerous times in our world. Millions dead at the hands of a few, many of them innocent. Imagine if someone like King Thor travelled to your world and settled off the coast of a city where you are from with no agreement with the local government or world leaders. Would your people respond differently?" She cocked her head to the side.
"If you have a compromise or suggestion, I am all ears. You are welcome to address the United Nations with your formal proposition. I am sure they will be very willing to listen and trust you, just as your people would trust the likes of Natasha Romanoff or Tony Stark should they come through to your world."
Of course, she knew the odds of the girl's world being so welcoming were low. And if they would be welcoming, she was truly interested to hear what proposal the woman could come up with to solve this dilemma.
