But if she was going to be here a while, she was glad that she did have family. Though her time with the version of Clark she'd met had been brief before he died in her arms when Lex rewrote reality, he was still family, and family was something that was very important to Kara. And being in a strange reality, it was nice to know she had family around, even if it was alternate dimension family. And even though to her knowledge, Oliver had "fixed" the changes that Lex had made, she still carried the memory of his ceasing to exist in her arms. So she was going to focus on him being here, and getting to know him better.
Though they had chatted a little bit when she arrived through the portal, she had respected that her cousin had been on duty at the time, so she made arrangements to talk with him once his shift ended. In that time, Kara had taken some time to set herself up with a place to stay, and introduced herself on the network. Once that was done, she made her way to the kitchen. Dimensional travel always made her hungry. At least, that's what she was using as an excuse. Her Kryptonian biology always made it so she had to eat more than a regular human.
Luckily for Kara, she'd find a fully stocked kitchen. And potstickers in the freezer. Kara grinned. It was like they'd been expecting she'd show up at some point. Or it was just coincidence. Either way, she was going to take advantage of having them. Kara got to making potstickers for her and Clark, and then after, poked around in the freezer to see if there was ingredients to make milkshakes.
When Clark would join her in the kitchen, he'd find her waiting with potstickers and milkshakes for the two of them. She greeted him with another hug, this one slightly less exuberant than the one she'd given him when she saw him when she'd arrived out of the portal. "I made us potstickers and milkshakes," she said, gesturing to the counter where she'd set thigs up. "How was the rest of your shift?"
