Seeing Kara come through the portal had been the highlight of his shift, everything after that had been pretty routine, or as much as it could be when guarding a portal of unknown origin. He was glad to see his otherworldly cousin all in one piece. Though when he found himself back in his own world with Lois by his side he realised that the Anti-Monitor must have been defeated and reality rewritten for the better, he'd hoped it also meant that Kara was safe.
Finding his way to the kitchen, he smiled as he caught the scent of Kara's favourite dish. While he didn't have to eat to sustain himself, he did enjoy food and the action made him feel normal. Hugging her back, he smiled, taking a seat at the counter on one of the high stools. "Smells delicious, Kara. Thank you."
The truth was in the taste of course and as he took a bite of his first potsticker it confirmed the deliciousness. "Mmm, they tase good too. The afternoon was uneventful. Which isn't a bad thing, it just gets a little tedious at times. There's no rhyme or reason as to when people show up."
