It never ceased to amaze Sara that no matter what she experienced, the universe always had more in store that she could never have anticipated. She had time traveled and dimension hopped before, but being pulled into this particular place and time was somehow a completely different experience and one that she still wasn’t entirely sure how to process. She was glad to have some of her team around, along with some other folks that she knew and trusted, but she missed Ava and the rest of the team. Plus having Gideon around as a human was just bizarre.
She was still finding her footing here and was glad to spend a little time with Cisco. He’d been here a lot longer and could hopefully give her some more dirt on this place. There was no lack of places near the facility to go and drink and she sat at the bar, nursing a martini, while she waited for Cisco to join her.
*
Cisco was a little frustrated, so he took a little time to step out of the lab for the night. There was planning to be done, but Cisco had done nothing but plan and work since Ray and Zari had been kidnapped..that was about a week ago. Then there was the worry of the thing he was abou to tell Ben, and he could absolutely use a drink with all of it happening. He felt like a weight was on his chest and breathing was thinner and thinner.
He hadn’t really had the time to find a favorite bar, but he did hear a whisper of a classy LGBTQ+ bar that he’d sent her the address too that he hadn’t even gotten a chance to try out. From all the pictures online it was a safe spot, with quieter areas on the second floor where he’d asked to meet her. Cisco wasn’t into club type environments, so this sounded perfect. He was in desperate need of something strong, and went the dangerous route. There were two bars located inside. One on the bottom floor and one on the top. Ironically, the place was called Nowhere. Which was where he felt like being. He spotted her sitting there at the secondary bar and offered a wave. “Hey.” He greeted as he slid up beside her on a seat. “How is it?” He asked her as he tried his own drink.

Sara smiled at him when he joined her before glancing down at her glass. “Pretty good,” she said. “Digging the atmosphere here.” Her current lifestyle didn’t allow for a lot of down time hanging out in bars and she wasn’t often in a time period were LGBTQ+ bars even existed, so she appreciated Cisco’s choice.
“Any luck on figuring out the Ray and Zari stuff?” she asked. It was hard not throwing herself into a search and winging it like the Legends usually did, but things were different in this universe and she was trying to be patient. “You know me and the Waverider are at your disposal if you need us.”

Cisco also had to admit to not going to many bars..or really at all lately. He tended to avoid crowds, but this one promised low key vibes and Cisco could be into that. “Good..honestly was going by google reviews.” He admitted with a little shrug. Team Flash were always notoriously bad at lying. No point in it for him to even try. “I actually haven’t been to a bar yet since going here…but wanted to try this one.” It had been on his radar for a while.
He shook his head. “No. Hitting brick walls everywhere.” He dragged his hand through his dark hair in frustration “Back home we’d probably have found them already.” He was irritated by the process in this place also. His tone didn’t exactly hide it. “I’d have more resources.” He’d been gathering over time, sure. But he didn’t enjoy all the red tape of this world. Thus, the need for a drink. And a strong one at that.
*
As someone who was used to being the literal captain of her own destiny, Sara could understand his frustration and wished there was something she could do to help. “You’re using Gideon’s vast knowledge, right?” There had to be some benefit to having her ship’s AI wandering around the place in human form.
She signaled the bartender to bring her another drink and nodded at Cisco to indicate that whatever he wanted should go on her tab. Luckily, she’d had some money on her when she ended up here, but she was going to need to figure out a job sooner rather than later.
*
“As much as we can..This place is..There are things here I can’t reach.” He glanced over at her. “You recall what a breacher is?” Cisco had spent time as one for a while. He’d gotten used to doing things a certain way, going where he wanted to get what he wanted.
At this point he still wanted another of the same drink, another Long Island. Usually he went for fruity cocktails but his heart just wasn’t in it at that point.

“Remind me,” Sara said. There was always a possibility that things were slightly different in their experiences prior to being here and she wanted to make sure she was remembering the right thing. Traveling through time and dimensions meant that memory wasn’t always infallible. Especially since time travel always included a risk of changing the future.
When her drink arrived, she took a long sip as she listened to his explanation.
*
“Sort of an interdimensional bounty hunter…all the literal resources of the multiverse were at my fingertips and here…Zilch.” He made a face and finished his drink. “I Spent some time as one a year ago or so. Got used to doing things my way.” Now he had to find a new way to match this world, but that was easier said than done.
*
Sara nodded as she took another drink. “There’s definitely a learning curve when you go from working solo to being part of a team.” The league hadn’t really functioned as a team in a traditional sense and her missions were mostly solo. When she returned to Star City, she’d done the vigilante thing, also on her own. Joining the Legends took some getting used to though she was completely comfortable in her leadership role now.
“Did we do the whole resetting the universe thing for you yet?” she asked.
*
He really needed to fix his connections to align with this world. There wasn’t any reason he couldn’t have things he needed. He’d let himself get too reliant, and that needed to change.
“No. Not yet, I mean we’ve tried but…nothing.” He frowned in response to that, taking another sip of his drink. “We’ve been trying. Reset my glasses to this place, calibrated me. In all sense of things I should be fine, but I’m not.” He admitted with frustration clearly in his voice. There was some days he couldn’t even function. “There are still days I can’t even get out of my damn bed.”
*
That didn’t sound good and Sara couldn’t help frowning a bit. “Well, if there’s ever anything I can do,” she said. They might not have been the closest of friends back in their universe, but she felt a kinship with all of Team Flash and knew they all needed to stick together while they were stuck here.
“In the meantime, let’s drink.”
