There was something a little thrilling about even just that gentle touch of their arms. Like the beginning of something he wasn't entirely sure about; like an experiment ready to be tested and you just didn't know which direction it was going to go.
"I'd say it's our day, thank you," he replied with a little grin. "Really, it's mostly about you. I'm just along for the ride." His smile was genuine, though. "You've lived in the city a long time, haven't you? You must miss it being up at the Compound."
