Who: Riley Leone and Lydia Martin (donthavemuchexp)
What: Shopping
When: Monday afternoon
Where: Starbucks
Warnings: TBA
It hadn't taken long for Riley to discover that Lydia was pretty much the definition of "power shopper". She'd been perfectly happy to go along when Lydia had showed up on her doorstep and unilaterally decided that they were both going out. And then she'd gone from perfectly happy to slightly awkward because really, what did you say to the woman who'd spent a couple hours holding your hair back as you puked after crying way too hard?
But Lydia was surprisingly good with putting people at ease, and so it didn't take very long for Riley to feel comfortable. And honestly, it was nice having a friend to hang out with. She had the other girls in Lydia's apartment, true, but it was complicated. Erica still wanted to rip Vince's face off, Malia was too busy being amused at the whole Nate thing, and Allison... well, that was awkward for a couple reasons.
They'd finally made a stop at Starbucks because quite frankly, Lydia was exhausting and Riley had insisted on caffeine and espresso before they went anywhere else. And apparently that was a reaction that Lydia wasn't at all surprised with because there'd just been some amusement followed by locating the nearest Starbucks.
Which, it was Chicago, that only took walking about six blocks.
She was slightly wrapped up in her thoughts as they found a seat, because that was a thing with her. For all she could be cheerful and bubbly and all that, she was also well capable of getting lost in her own head. And as much as she wanted to blame Jake for throwing her entire world off-kilter, she couldn't really do that at the moment.
Shaking herself out of it, Riley took a sip of her drink. Oh, sweet sweet caffeine.
