"Ugh," Hiro rolled his eyes, "they're practically domestic."
"I think they're cute," Atlee said.
Hiro gave her a critical look. "When we get back, I'm running a system diagnostic on you." Sometimes his programming was a bit too intelligent. The last thing he needed was his loyal femmebot to start having a conscience.
"T-minus one minute," the bat bot stated. It had powered down the hologram and was now readying its defensive systems. Behind the makeshift cowl, its eyes glowed an ominous red.
"You remember what to do?" Hiro asked.
"Yes, Master Hiro." Atlee gave her creator a demure look and batted her eyes.
"Then get into position."
With a nod, Atlee dove off the rooftop. She waved her arms, uprooting a chunk of pavement from far down below and formed a floating platform under her feet. Hiro nodded smugly to himself. It'd taken a while to get all the details correct. Most of Atlee's powers were easily duplicated by studying seismography but the finer nuisances of control relied heavily on short field gravity manipulation. It was an impressive stroke of work.
Her costume, in Hiro's opinion, was sheer genius. There was a lot to be said for fighting crime in a mini skirt. He watched her descent for a moment before checking his pockets once more. He knew Atlee wouldn't be much of a match but that's why he had come prepared with Plan B and C, but first they needed Superman's attention.
Seconds later, Atlee touched down. The pavement cracked under her heels and she looked up at the Daily Planet building. She spread her arms wide and the foundation of the building began to shake.
