when the cat's away, the mice will play...
Who: Catwoman and OPEN When: Sunday, June 6th, 2010, evening Where: Gotham City Summary: What better time to commit just a tiny, tiny burglary?
A new drill tip for her safecracking kit: $1500. Surveillance on A'Dare's office to find the position of her safe? Two days. A police scanner? $150 on the black market. Knowing when a good number of the cops in Gotham would be distracted by what was apparently a double homicide and thus not be likely to bother her? Priceless.
Selina Kyle, better and more dramatically known as Catwoman, was perched on the top moulding of the HSC International Building, just a few feet above the window to A'Dare's corner office. She had been waiting there for a few minutes, now, listening and making a last minute check of her equipment. The drill was secured in a bag against her back, the safest place to keep it as she descended into the building; her whip, she unwound, slowly, from her waist and held, loosely, in hand. Some cat burglars used complicated harness and rig equipment to descend from the sides of buildings; for the most part, Catwoman preferred a riskier tactic. And thus a slightly more enjoyable one.
And this window really was just a few feet down. Selina knew with confidence that she could make the drop on the climbing pitons and claws alone; the whip was just in case. She rose from her crouching position, stepping to the very edge of the building and preparing to make her drop.
