Damian spoke for the first time since Nightwing arrived. "Grayson, what the hell are you doing here?" And more importantly, who the hell was looking after their city? It had better not be the Young Justice, otherwise they would come back to its burning skeletal remains. With a start, he realised he thought of it as partly his city. Technically, it was more Grayson's city, since he was the one that wanted to take on the burden, but somewhere along the way he started to see it as his too.
That was not really fair, as he should be attached to Gotham if any city. It was practically his inheritance. Instead he got the poor man's Gotham. He easily swept aside all thoughts of pesky obligations, his team, and the fact that he somehow thought well enough of Grayson to take care of his not-city in his absence.
Talia said nothing, but something about the exchange clearly amused her. The corners of her lips, which had be turned down in a frown before, now evened out and she moved into a more relaxed stance.
