Although Talia was watching her minions move to intercept the timely intruder, Damian was watching her. Her mouth formed a moue of disappointment, but he did not know what exactly she was disappointed about. Was it the inopportune timing, right when she was trying to make a point, or was it that their time was interrupted? He could drive himself crazy wondering the possibilities and yet never exhaust them. He would not give her the satisfaction of that, so he jerked his attention back to the commotion below.
It was Nightwing, of course, because not one but the circus buffoon could stumble upon them. If it was his father he could probably slip past the sentries without ever alerting them and still sneak up on Mother. Well, maybe not the last part, Talia was skilled in her own right. But now that he was not in the thick of fighting alongside Nightwing, he could grudgingly admit that his skills were decent. Only decent though, Damian was better.
Talia clapped once, and the ninja jumped back to a safe distance. "Ah, the replacement father." She did not look impressed.
