Even Damian's skills and training could not overcome the forces of physics. With his weight and center of gravity pushed forward to combat the opposing force of being pulled on by the miniature Batmen, he had no time to correct when the bats let go. Reflexes kicked in automatically, bending his knees to absorb some of the force and stepping forward involuntarily. Once he was in control and upright again, he shot a look to Toyman that promised pain and punishment. Unfortunately, there were several people that would probably be able to put a stop to it right now.
He was supposed to be learning patience, wasn't he? Damian did not really pause to think that this was the sort of patience that his newest taskmasters meant.
In acknowledgment to what he read on Hiro's lips, Damian nodded curtly, although his expression was not particularly acquiescent. Because his focus had been so completely on Hiro, he missed the messages of his other teammates. Thankfully the ringing seemed to be abating, although it could simply be his wishful thinking, and giving way to a heavy deadness. What he could hear sounded distant and indistinct, as if someone had stuffed his head and ears full of cotton.
Seeing that he had made his point, and gathering the idea that going any further would get him in a world of trouble that wouldn't be worth it. Damian turn around on heel and started back to his part of the hanger.
