So I'm a huge Tron fan, and I've been wanting to start a Tron game or group PSL for a while. I realize Tron: Legacy hasn't been out for terribly long, and this is possibly the worst time to start a game, but I thought I'd post and see if anyone had any interest anyway.
Extensive knowledge of the universe isn't required, as I will try to provide as much information as possible if I start this game, to make it easier.
The game would focus mainly on the setting inside the computer, with players making original program characters. I would want to set it before the movie, a prequel of sorts. This would allow players to play both Basic programs and ISOs. Basics - programs created by Users (humans) who serve a definite purpose, ISOs - programs who just appeared one day, who are more advanced and have no specific purpose. They bring up issues of free will vs "slavery", order vs chaos, etc, making an interesting dynamic for characters in the game.
The storyline would start either when ISOs first appeared, or a short time thereafter, once they've settled in a bit. The plot would then have a definite point that it's moving towards -- working its way through all of the problems that occurred with the ISOs appearing, building up to Clu taking over the system and attempting to wipe out the ISOs. This would then allow players with Basic characters to choose sides, and allow players with ISO characters to deal with the fallout drama.
But it wouldn't be ALL drama and SRS BSNS, as there is still the options to for players to have their characters participate in the Game Grid, there are clubs for the programs, etcetc.
I probably wouldn't start the game until after Christmas, as I know this is a poor time to start a game, but I wanted to see if I should start setting things up.
That's the gist of what I've got so far. Feel free to let me know if you'd be interested, what you think, and if you have any questions or improvements/changes/input to offer -- I would very much appreciate it. Either way, thanks for reading!
