He took his time kissing her back. Finally--after all the rushing, hiding, sneaking--waiting. He rested his weight on one elbow, brushing some of her hair off her face. "Did I mention that I've missed you?" he asked, his face changing from his normal wary expression to a very rare, relaxed visage. This moment made all the hell worth it.
