Convicted Death Eater Draco Malfoy is slated to be released from his house imprisonment in only seven days time. Witches and wizards have been gathering in the Main Atrium of the Ministry of Magic protesting and handing out leaflets calling for the imprisonment of Malfoy for a longer term. Crowds outside the gates of Malfoy Manor have grown in the days leading up to his release.
Malfoy, 18 of Wiltshire, was one of the most controversial figures of the War. It was during his trial that it was revealed that he not only orchestrated the death of Albus Dumbledore but had turned double agent. Malfoy was sentenced to only 3 months time served in Azkaban plus an additional six months of house arrest, which ends February 11. Ginny Weasley, 17 of Ottery St. Catchpole, has been one of Malfoy's most vocal proponents and declares he is a "...fully reformed character".
