Prudence Mackenzie was not a young woman who was in any way hesitant in the face of, well, anything. From the moment she had learned that some of the Batman filming would occur outdoors, right in the streets of New York City, she had not been able to push the notion of sidling up to the barricades with the hope of catching a glimpse of a certain shirtless Bruce Wayne out of her mind. She had managed to gather together a group of film student friends, under the pretense of observing the professionals of the industry at work, and glanced over the spectacle last week. But for Prudence Mackenzie, a glance was never enough. Curiosity piqued, desires yet to be sated, and obsession with what had become her newest most favorite celebrity growing with the appearance of every new blog entry, Prue returned to the scene of the scene the next week with the camera on her iHolo set to stun and her patience set to last all afternoon.
Alone, for fans could move more quickly and slide through crowds more easily if they were alone, Prue took the subway down from District 5 into the heart of what used to be Manhattan, sought out the streets she and her friends had observed the previous week, and, spotting the small crowd gathered around the barricaded area, strolled into the masses. The young Oklahoman was a small slip of a girl, short in stature, thin in the hips and shoulders, and though her mouth was something else entirely, her physical presence was minuscule in the face of large crowds. So it was that Prue slid easily through the throngs right up to the metal fence set up to protect the movie cameras, booms, crew members, cables, and set pieces. Fingers tightening on the metal crossbar, Miss Mackenzie waited in excited anticipation for her newest most favorite celebrity to make an appearance.
